Since its launch in 2006, Spotify has achieved massive growth. The music streaming platform now has over 60 million users around the world and a library of over 30 million songs.
Spotify is no longer a start up, and this is reflected in its recent rebrand by New York consultancy Collins. The basic, app-like icon has evolved into a visual expression, but the logo remains.
While the two colour look and feel might not be the most interesting concept, it works well with the range of artist or record label-provided images that Spotify has to work with, and quickly differentiates it from its competitors. This is also a key for Spotify’s social media posts.
Although Spotify’s logo is not the coolest logo around, its still manages to hold onto a 60 million user audience!
